What a challenging but great experience running for Council in Welland.
This is probably one of the shortest posts I have ever written. I just want to say Thank You.
During 2017 and the early part of 2018, I struggled with the decision to run for Council in Welland. It was a huge step and one that took me outside my comfort zone. Ultimately I made the decision to run for Ward 2 Councillor in Welland.
What an experience! I enjoyed every minute of it. And although I was not successful in my campaign, it does not mean I will disappear from helping in Welland. There is so much that can be done outside of having a seat on Council.
I would like to offer a huge THANK YOU to all who helped with my campaign, in particular Ed Telenko and Debbie Barnes. Ed and I spent countless hours discussing next steps, how to connect with the community and so much more. Ed's political background, experience and knowledge he shared with me was greatly appreciated - I couldn't have accomplished as much without his help.
And secondly to Debbie Barnes who diligently delivered my literature door-to-door - Thank you! Your help also greatly appreciated.
And finally - Thank you to those who voted for me showing your confidence in this new comer to the political world of Welland.
I am always amazed at my friends and business colleagues who rally around me to support my efforts in whatever I do. Thank you, thank you for all your support!
I would also like to say congratulations to those who were successful in their campaigns. Welland has some great people now 'Making it happen today for a better Welland tomorrow!'
Until next time.
